Our Departments

  • External Relations is at the core of what makes the TUM Speakers Series possible. We handle speaker outreach and coordination, develop strategic partnerships, acquire sponsorships, and manage our network of guests and sponsors. From drafting invitations to coordinating with CEOs, diplomats, and global changemakers, we ensure that the TUM Speakers Series and each event are backed by professional collaboration.Working with such high-profile speakers brings a significant sense of responsibility, but it also provides an exciting opportunity for learning.   • The Marketing Department is the creative heart of the TUM Speakers Series. We shape the visual identity of the series and ensure our message reaches a broad and engaged audience. Our responsibilities range from designing graphics and managing our social media presence to producing videos, photos, and a wide variety of visual materials that support and promote our events.
    A key part of our work happens on event day: we are on site to photograph and film the talks, the atmosphere, and the people — capturing the essence of the experience and turning it into compelling content for our channels. From behind-the-scenes moments and speaker portraits to highlight videos, we make sure that the energy of each event lives on long after it ends.
    We work closely with all departments to translate ideas into powerful visual stories — whether that’s through a last-minute Instagram reel, a polished aftermovie, or consistent branding templates used across our platforms.

  • The Moderation Team is the voice on stage, making sure the interviews run smoothly and have a personal touch. We guide the audience through the evening, introduce the speakers, and keep the overall flow on track — both for our guests and everyone watching. To do that, we put a lot of effort into preparation. Before each event, we dive into research to understand who the speaker is, what they do, and how their topic fits into the bigger picture. Based on that, we craft customized moderations with smooth transitions that tie everything together. We work closely with other departments to ensure everything aligns — from the tone of the evening to the key messages being shared. Our goal is to create a stage environment where speakers feel comfortable and the audience feels engaged — professional, approachable, and authentic.

  • The Operations Department is the engine behind the TUM Speakers Series. We’re the ones ensuring that every moving part — from internal coordination to the final spotlight on stage — comes together seamlessly. Our work starts long before the event and continues until the last guest has left, with every detail, no matter how small, carefully taken care of.As the team behind the scenes, we take pride in turning big visions into real experiences. We manage logistics, streamline communication between departments, keep timelines on track, and ensure that every speaker, volunteer, and audience member feels prepared and inspired.At the heart of our work is a shared commitment — where structure meets creativity, and every team member plays a key role in bringing our events to life. It’s a fast-paced, sometimes challenging, but incredibly rewarding environment.   • The Internal department plays a key role in shaping the atmosphere within the TUM Speakers Series team. We're all about building a positive, welcoming, and fun environment where everyone feels comfortable. From organizing our after-after events to planning full weekend getaways, we make sure there's always something going on to bring the team closer together and create lasting memories.
    Another key part of our work is recruiting new team members. We look for passionate, motivated people who bring their own strengths and perspectives to the table. By matching roles to individual skills and backgrounds, we help make sure every member can contribute meaningfully and thrive within the team.
